For your reference:

This was our first time ever visiting Kim’s Krypt. We were super excited to experience the haunts with fresh eyes! We arrived at 7pm, and quickly got a lay of the land. They had a few actors roaming around providing scares. We also noticed several cute carnival styled games available for entertainment! They had a booth with several meal options, (example: burgers, wraps, hot dogs chicken tenders, fries) and a snack shack (chips, candy bars) with some beverage options as well. There are a couple ATMS on the grounds. Please be aware if using your card there is a Service Fee. There were plenty of bathrooms scattered throughout the grounds near the entrance and by the haunts. Kim has a very unique gift shop, Matt and I Ended up purchasing a hoodie, a zip up, and shorts. I wear my hoodie all the time and he lives in the shorts now! He says they are super soft and comfortable. We visited on opening weekend, so it wasn’t terribly busy. As the season progress, prepare to wait in very long lines. They do offer a RIP Pass for those not wanting to wait in long lines, this is $80 and gets you skip the line access to all attractions. For $100 they have an All-Access pass which gets you UNLIMITED skip the line access, VIP Parking a meal ticket & a t shirt!

Covid-19 Precautions: This season every haunt has had a different approach to covid procedures. At Kims Krypt, Masks were completely voluntary which is in alignment with CDC and PA State Guidelines. Folks who wanted to wear them did so, and those who did not want to; did not. As always, you are in control of your own space, if social distancing is important to you, please be mindful of your physical space and keep a distance from those around you. If ever you’re uncomfortable with someone’s positioning in relation to where you are, kindly communicate with them to keep a safe distance. We highly recommend bringing your own travel size sanitizer to use at your convenience if this is of importance to you.

The Haunted Mill transports you on a dark journey through a real Mill, that houses a dark and dreary catacomb of death and despair. This attraction is filled with startling surprises, beautiful sets and unique props. The vintage feel throughout this attraction adds an element of eerie malevolence that is unable to be put into words. Throughout your journey you encounter a damp dark basement, catacombs and the infamous Kims “Krypt” Keep your eyes open for the Crypt Keeper…As a die hard Tales from the Crypt fan this was the highlight of our night!

Terror Trail:

Use of Props & Animatronics: 9/10

Set Design: 9/10

Overall Attraction Rating: 9/10

FEAR SCALE: 9/10

Length: 35-40 minutes

I want to start off by saying, just a few weeks prior to their opening night Kims Krypt experienced devastating Flooding from Hurricane Ida. This left them in a position where a lot of their electronics were not functioning/props and sets were destroyed. WITH THAT BEING SAID, this was told to us after we went through the haunt and truthfully, We never would have known! Everything was beautifully done. The sets were hauntingly vintage. Filled with props so unique. This factor alone added an element which I truly enjoyed! This was our favorite attraction of the night. Each set told a hauntingly terrific story. We didn’t want our journey to end. Be prepared for A LOT of jump scares, terrifying special effects, tons of disorientation and an overall amazing time!

DESCRIBE: As you enter the old, dilapidated barn, and wander up the lonely dark stairs prepare for all hell to break loose as you meander your way through vintage sets to find all the maniacal creatures waiting to get their hands on you. The House of eyes showcases Jump scares, tons of disorientation, and a wicked fun clown who just might get you lost in the house of eyes FOR GOOD!!

Horror Of Menges Mill:

Use of Props & Animatronics: 9/10

Overall Attraction Rating: 9/10

Horror of Menges Mill was the most aesthetically pleasing attraction here at Kim’s Krypt. Although this was our first year experiencing the attraction, you can tell that most of the sets are new. Featuring innovative technology, props, and animatronics versus the traditional vintage feel throughout the other haunts. Truthfully; the vintage feel is what we loved so much about Kim Krypt as a whole. But, Horror of Menges Mill really hit the nail on the head! It features Beautiful sets, and just like the other haunts there are tons of jump scares along your journey. You will be faced with situations that just may invoke those with extreme claustrophobia to loose their minds! Be prepared to bend your body and contort yourself through slits in the walls that challenge your bodys natural shape. Will you get stuck and have to take up residency within the Horror of Menges Mill? There is only one way to find out!

Extras:

Zombie Escape Room: $5

$10 Coffin hearse ride: You start your journey by climbing into a coffin, and leaving your fate in the Owner Kims hands. What better way to experience life, after death..Then traveling around in a coffin by way of a hearse!

$5 Experience a Classic Hearse Ride with your friends around town in Deadly Style chauffeured by The owner Kim.

Overall our trip to Kims Krypt was fantastic. We absolutely enjoyed ourselves. There is a very special vintage feel to all of the haunts that we appreciated. It is evident how much love and thought has gone into the make up of this scream park. The Staff is truly the heart and soul of this operation, and Kim herself is one of the most hands on & involved owners we have met to date. Her passion and love for the industry Is her driving force, and It truly shows! We absolutely recommend Kims Krypt for anyone looking to have a spooky good time this Haunt Season!!
